Grandma Phil

Well this past week we had our weekly Grandma Phil time and she did not let anyone down. She brought Samantha her weekly bagel and small bag of chips-lunch of 3.5 year olds everywhere. The day included "the mall", merry go round, checking out the wedding photos in the dress shop windows, ice cream cone, throwing pennies in the pond and a gift from the Disney Store. Phew. The yellow dress Samantha is wearing for church with her Daddy this morning is one from Grandma Phil. We are trying to convince Samantha to wear something in her hair besides food and drink that keeps getting in it because it is too long. We are going for an updated haircut this week and I hope she will start doing better hair care. Ha, Ha. This one gives you a run for the $$ on reasoning. Too much and she is not even four.

Silly Day with Brea

Well we were fortunate to have share another silly day with Brea. The day started out as Brea and Samantha played Princesses with the blanket shopping cart and their own Princess Puppy Maggie. Note to everyone I had to include the dog and shopping cart in all photos. No easy task when all four objects in photos move at once. These two hams know to ask to see every photo after I take one-the age of digital. I remember as a child waiting months to see a photo form our cameras. Ok so I am dating myself but really isn't it amazing.

Weekly Catch Up

Samantha dressed for "kindergarten."
Samantha posing in our "new" IKEA bathroom

Samantha jumping into the Mommy-Brea photo!! What a stinker!
Singing Happy Birthday to Kim with cupcakes for all!
Well it has been a fun filled week with Samantha. Very hot here but that does not stop Samantha from running around and taking everything on-she tells us she wants to go to kindergarten and be in the pre-k program at daycare. Oh well, she will have to settle for the 4's for another year. This past week we saw our cousins, Auntie and Uncle, Gigi and Brea and their Mommies and f course Grandma Phil. Grandma Phil brought her some butter cookies with sprinkles on them and told me yesterday that she wants to "thank Grandma Phil for them and wants her to bring them "next time." Grandma Phil if you are reading this beware-you won her over with yet another thing you do!!

Brea Day!

The dancers taking a break having a snack & watching Dora!
Sammy and Brea playing Mommy and Dadddy! Samantha is the Mommy....big surprise!

Today our dear friend Brea played for the day and did the girls have a blast. I know that with Samantha having a play date I could actually get a couple things done like folding laundry and sneaking a few moments to do photos for scrap booking. The pictures show Samantha and Brea playing Mommy and Daddy and also being dancers later in the day-in their princess outfits. It was a fun day for everyone!

More Lion Country Pics

I forgot to post some other cute photos of the Tia Deborah-Sammy day at Lion Country Safari. I think Samantha will be one for rides as she even went in the "balloons" or rather the ferris wheel and was not scared when it moved around. I was not able to get a photo of that but rest assured it was cute. Samantha asked Deborah why there were no seat belts. Safety first for Sammy! As you can see Mommy had some issues with getting her "Dumbo" elephant to fly in the sky. Samantha was also a trooper on the paddle boat since the life vest was almost as big as her.

Gigi Party and Lion Country Safari

This past weekend was a blur lots of activity Gigi's big #3 and a very special gift from Tia Deborah-a yearly pass to Lion Country Safari. I hate to complain but we (our little angel) has had numerous (too many to count) breakdown/tantrums. Some lasting for almost an hour or sixty minutes of fun filled, trying moments that make you think something I can't say here. Now don't get me wrong it was a fun time overall but Samantha is giving us a run for the $$$ and ran to the door this morning for her return to school. She is now in the four's room non-vpk. Just a tish too young for the other. I felt like she was telling me this morning to not the let the door hit me on the ass on the way out-you get the drift. She was way too pumped for school and before you tell me that the tantrums will end with school we had two more tonight for good measure. Just the start of what pre teen will look like.

Girl Power

Samantha-right loves to play with Gigi and Brea (center).

Summer Time

Ok so some of you may not know but this summer Samantha stayed home from school and got to hang out with her Daddy. We kept her busy with swim lessons, a trip to Melrose to visit our good friends we met in China, and we went to IKEA for a brand new big girl bedroom. No more sleeping on the floor for Samantha. She never did like that toddler bed. As you can see Samantha was not all that keen to put her head in the water or blow bubbles. Some days we needed to use donuts for help. She definitely takes after her Grandpa Booney!!
I promise to take more photos as move back to day care or as Samantha calls it big kid school. She will be moving into the fours' but will not be in the VPK program-she is too young.
