Well I am bit behind with some very funny Halloween posts and early November update. I believe that this is the first year that Samantha really enjoyed herself and happily went to Auntie Cristin's huge Halloween extravaganza. Samantha wanted me to be a good witch and helped pick out the costume. Since I never invest in Halloween outfits, I will probably be wearing this for the next 10 years.
On another note, the other night, Samantha told me to "SUCK IT UP, MOMMY!" I had just gotten home from work and was talking about my day when it happened. Daddy and I just exchanged a puzzled glance, inferring did we just hear what we think we heard?! I asked her to repeat it and indeed that is what she said but you could tell she was testing it like she did not how to use it. She was waiting for a reaction. I calmly asked where she heard that, as it is not something I would say and she told me a teacher at school (I will not repeat the name here but from a lower age level) told her that when she cried last week. Oh the pain I felt when she said that. We then talked about her feelings and how it was not a good choice of words and yes you can guarantee I was in the admin's office the next day asking it that was an expression they supported. I know the little ones can frustrate but if that is the case, please walk away and come back. Ah, as Ed said, that will not be the worst she ever hears.
